My wife is from China and wasn't surprised from my experience. My experience was that they wouldn't act without pressure. It was a great experience when nothing went wrong, but when it did it was a long struggle for me to get my money back. I've bought 2 other items from them in the past. It cost me 70 dollars to get a broken tablet that I had for about a week, a USB keyboard, and a touchscreen pen. It took 2 months for me to get some of my money back from paypal, not from geekbuying.

Their return policy says that if you find an issue within 2 days, they will deal with it. I think they try to buy locally, either from the mfg or another wholesaler.

Geekbuying has a bad habit of charging for a product, then seeing if they have stock, and then a week later they ask you to pick something else. I'm saying Chinese customer service is poor compared to most Western customer service. I'm not saying that Chinese mfg products are bad. It feel much better than my iPad mini and the m9Pro I had. I still don't see how you can say the Spectrum feels cheap. No, locking up isn't and isolated case (. Yes, touchscreen issue is an isolated (mfg defect) case.

Not a great value considering the issues above and it not being google certified is a let down. Only a few icons look fuzzy, text is good. The problem is that when it boots into the upgrade menu it asks you to select what to do with the UP/DOWN volume buttons.

THere is this OWL upgrade tool, which downloads the new update and restarts the device. Looks like a pixel order issue or something. I am not sure if this is a touch or processor issue.but I am assuming processor issue since the keyboard seems fine elsewhere. When using Skype I have a very hard time using the keyboard since I can type faster than the keyboard registers key presses.
